The plumber recommended installing a toe touch or lift and turn stopper in the drain. I have gone through 5 different drains (all lift and turn) and none of them will screw back into the original tub shoe assembly. I have tried 1 3/8" fine thread, 1 1/2" course thread, 1 1/2" fine thread.
